Most backyards sit unused because they're either a muddy mess, a mowing headache, or just not set up to actually enjoy. That's the exact problem we set out to fix here - and the approach was clean and simple. Modern pavers for the patio and walkway areas, synthetic grass for the lawn section, and a wood fence framing the whole thing together.
The paver work covers a good amount of ground. We laid a large-format stone in a varied offset pattern across the main patio area, and a separate dark charcoal paver runs the length of the side yard passage between the house and fence. That side yard path is one of those spots most people ignore - but paved correctly, it becomes a clean, functional walkway that ties the whole property together.
The synthetic grass section is where a lot of homeowners really feel the difference. No irrigation. No mowing. No dead patches in the heat. It sits wall-to-wall against the wood fence with a clean edge along the paver border, and it stays that way year-round. The turf we install is dense and natural-looking - not the flat, plastic feel people sometimes picture when they hear artificial grass.
Put it all together and you get a backyard that actually works for you. Hard surfaces where you need them, green space where you want it, and zero weekly maintenance keeping you from enjoying it.
